Chasing Grace (A New Musical Soundtrack)
Back in January I had the pleasure of orchestrating Chasing Grace (A New Musical Soundtrack) - Elizabeth Addison’s beautiful new musical soundtrack, commissioned by SheNYCArts.
Inspired by Addison’s time in treatment and chasing her own Broadway dreams, Chasing Grace is an immersive, meta-musical experience taking place in the mind and memory of both The Writer and Grace, her main character. The musical explores identity, addiction, recovery, trauma, the weaponization of our dreams, and how learning to face your past and love yourself can help you rewrite your narrative and reclaim your dreams.
The mini-album contains 5 songs from the musical, and features Paige Durr on drums, Alex Petti on bass and acoustic guitar, Paul Alves on electric guitar and Dave Klowdowski on piano (and music direction!).
